Sofa table or console table, they all have a distinctive look. After rescueing an old porch railing from the scrap heap, I incorporated the decorative aspects of the railing into one of my console table concepts. Additional ornate railing scrolls were welded to the flat iron I used to wrap the beefy top slab of ash lumber with. Sorta giving a book-end effect to the table top, nifty huh.
